Claymation is a more specific stop motion technique done with clay figurines. Clay is one of the animators’ most favorite materials to work with, and luckily also one of children’s most favorites to watch!

Pixilation is stop-motion using the human body as the animated “substance”. Some of the greatest works of art on film have been done in this experimental and artistic technique. Being “discovered” around a century ago, pixilation is still as “hip” today, as it was when first it was brought to life on screen.
